Device Components

The Bard Endoscopic Suturing Device consists of the following components:

The suturing system (0000595) is a single use disposable item. Both the handle (0000452 or 0000459) and the overtube (0000454) are reusable, intended for 50 and 25 times reuse respectively.

There are two different handle models available, 0000452 for Olympus® upper GI endoscope systems or 0000459 for Pentax® systems. In general, a site will need two (2) handles and two (2) overtubes. This will allow them to perform back-to-back procedures while the handle and overtube from the first procedure are reprocessed.
